PERSONAL BRANDING FOR PEOPLE WHO HATE PERSONAL BRANDS
To some people, the mere mention of the phrase “personal branding” makes them shudder.
I get it.
It conjures up thoughts of people being too self-important or of celebs shilling the latest shampoo.
Guess what though?
If you don’t define your personal brand, others will do it for you.
That’s why it’s critical that you sit down and start to define some of it on your own.
To get started, ask yourself these questions, ranging from straightforward to pretty darn tough:
What advice do people seek from me?
What energy do I bring into a room? What energy do I want to bring into a room?
Does what I’m putting out into the world match up with my personal values?
(Which might prompt another question along the lines of “Oh crud, what are my values?”)
Defining your personal brand will help bring focus to your career and business, bring the right people and opportunities to you, and give you the confidence of a teenage Tik-Tok influencer.
Try the above questions on for size and let me know how it goes. I could talk forever about personal branding… hit me up anytime!
