CONSISTENCY NEEDS A REBRAND

Consistency can be beautiful, can’t it?

Consistency can be beautiful, can’t it?

If someone described you as the most consistent person they know, it would definitely be a sick burn. Like, is that really the best thing about you? It would be a bummer to hear that.

Yet, when it comes to brands, consistency is so, so, so critical.

( See what I did there? Consistent x 3 ;). )

Consistency needs to be part of your brand experience for so many reasons, but there’s one big one that sticks out: if your messages are all over the place, people won’t buy from you.

If your audience keeps hearing different things from you, they won’t know what to latch onto. For example, you might say you stand for the underdog one day, but if the next, you’re bragging about the hot tub that’s built into your sweet new Lamborghini, things might not exactly line up.

You have to show up as yourself, over and over again, in order for people to really “get” you. This is the Know, Like, Trust process everyone talks about.

Show up consistently as yourself, in a way that’s true to your brand, and people will know you. Over time, they’ll get to like you. And then eventually, they become lifelong fans of you, and the trust with your brand will be solidified.

This goes for personal brands, too. And this doesn’t mean that you can’t wear your hair spiked one day and permed the next. It just means you have to keep showing up for people in a way that is true to your values.
